Edinburgh City Pass
In 2005 Edinburgh became the first city in Scotland to launch a European style city pass for tourists. Around 80 cities worldwide have similar pass schemes available. The city pass - an electronic smart card - is aimed at short break tourists. It is designed to allow them to explore the city more easily and to save money.
The Pass currently (May 2010) provides free entry to over 30 of Edinburgh's attractions including the Edinburgh Dungeon, the Camera Obscura and Dynamic Earth. You also get 25 exclusive special offers and free return airport transfer via the Airlink bus. At the time of writing a one day adult Edinburgh Pass costs £26.50, a three day pass £51.50.
The Edinburgh Pass was developed jointly by the Edinburgh and Lothians Tourist Board (ELTB), the City of Edinburgh Council and Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh & Lothians. You can
buy the Pass from ELTB tourist information centres or online.
